New Start

I am at a new crossroads in life....
my youngest is starting highschool, my oldest has started the first "real job", and somewhere in between I am still parenting a Sr. in highschool and a Sr. in college!  Many different parenting hats to juggle in a day!  All the while, I am thankful to have the hats to juggle!!!

Add to that, starting a baby Etsy business, that I would love to see grow into a teenage Etsy business, and you can see why my head is spinning!!!

So, as they all start on their new paths in life, I am facing up to mine,  and hoping that I can do half as well as I know they will do!

At the moment, the projects that I am working on are 5 quilts that are gifts for 5 very special girls.  Each as unique as the young women who will receive them.

I had the wonderful gift of being able to lead 4 of them in a small group bible study for middle/high school students while they were younger.  I think I learned as much from them as they were supposed to learn from me.  It is my great honor to make something for them as they begin their journey towards becoming the young women I always knew they would be.......
And the 5th one is for another very special young lady who graduated from college and has become a part of our family through the years.

Good luck precious ladies on the next year, and the ones after that......
Remember, the beautiful teacup and all that it had to go through to become what it is, and never forget that there are lots of people who love you.....

Unfinished Business

Today was a day for UFB's.......unfinished business.....

I took care of a lot of things that I have shoved to the side for another day.  It is one of the things I am trying to focus on this year......unfinished business.

Today's projects included actually putting pictures in all of the wonderful picture frames that I keep picking up!  And then going a step further and hanging them on the wall!!!  Whoo Hoo!
They look good too!

I also finished putting the borders on a Valentine's table runner.....I know, I know,......I lead such an exciting life that no one can keep up with me!!

And yet...I am happy!  Really, really happy!  I think it has to do with answered prayers......
And realizing that blessings come in all shapes and sizes, and in God's own time...
And watching for blessings, just so that I won't miss  them.

Keep your eyes open!  I bet you will find blessings in the small things in your day too!

New Beginnings

Welcome to my blog!

I am nervously going to try to do this Blog thing.....!

A little bit about me...
I am a creative mom of 4.  My wonderful kids are teenagers and college age and I couldn't be more proud!
I am a wife, a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a friend, a designer (dare I call myself that?), and a creative soul who just has to create!

I just recently started an online store with Etsy to share some of my creations and I am realizing how much I don't know!

This hopefully will be a place that I can share thoughts about it all!
